During your stay at the Manor there are many local attractions and facilities you could enjoy in the Maleny district :

Walks

  • Right across the road from the Manor is Bergann’s Lane Walk, a 2km meandering trip over green hills and through rainforest. You can continue if you wish to a local timber gallery and a licensed café with spectacular views of the Conondale ranges.
  • Beautiful Glasshouse mountain views can be enjoyed at Mary Cairncross Park, which has its own rainforest walk and a flourishing range of bird life.
  • Other walks with beautiful views of waterfalls and countryside are in easy reach and more information is readily available from your host.

Shops and Galleries

  • The largest cheese shop in Queensland is in Maleny at Colin James Fine Food, with a knowledgeable staff to help you. Prize winning ice-cream is available here too!
  • Maleny Cheese (www.malenycheese.com.au) has prize winning cheeses and yoghurts and a new cheesery on the Maleny Montville Road.
  • Maleny Dairies is a family business at McCarthy’s Road and tours run frequently.
  • There are art, craft, timber, glass and jewellery shops, restaurants and coffee shops, and you might see a platypus on the walk near the Obi Obi Creek.
  • Montville is less than a half hour scenic drive away and contains many tourist treats.

  • Scarecrow Festival
  • Maleny’s Autumn Flower Show and Springtime Maleny,
  • Conondale Rodeo, and
  • Opera in the Rainforest.
